Welcome to Palos Verdes Estates
A historic community nestled peacefully along the coast
This peaceful and historic community stretches along the southern coast of Los Angeles County. Private neighborhoods and serene drives lead to the cliffs that overlook the Pacific Ocean. There is also an abundance of designated open space, so everywhere in the Estates feels spacious and scenic.
Carved from Rancho Palos Verdes, Palos Verdes Estates was master-planned by the noted American landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted Jr. As the city developed, there were very specific deed restrictions as to what style, color, and even slant of roof homeowners could have, and because of that, the neighborhood has a very distinct and aesthetic atmosphere.
The homes that line the cliffs of Palos Verdes Estates are dripping in luxury. With gorgeous views, even for those set back from the water, and spacious lots full of amenities. Between the European architecture and the fact that there are no street lights in the residential areas, Palos Verdes Estates is steeped in a charming old-world feel.
